What’s moving.

HOOP Brain now understands Sheng and Kiswahili

Say it the way you say it on the road — “Nafasi kutoka Githurai hadi CBD saa kumi na moja asubuhi” — and HOOP Brain fills the ride form for you: pickup, drop-off, day and time. English, Swahili and Sheng all parse the same way, on your own device.

SafetySep 2026

Trip PIN rolls out to every matched ride

Every request saved by HOOP gets a 4-digit PIN. The team reads it to you on the confirmation call, and you give it to your driver at pickup — the hand-shake that ends a wrong-car pickup before it starts.

CrewAug 2026

Crew Pass: one van, same seats, every morning

Offices of three to six colleagues can lock a recurring morning van with a seat for each person. When someone is sick, their seat stays on the run — no one loses the ride, nobody pays double.

AutonomousJul 2026

Autonomous shuttle pilot opens on the Thika corridor

Fixed-route electric shuttles are on the roadmap for the Ruiru–Thika stretch, priced at seat level and marked beta everywhere else. Seats open up county by county as the route is surveyed.

PaymentsJun 2026

Payment stays on your own handset

HOOP never asks for a card and never charges on this site. The team confirms the fare on your call, then the M-PESA request arrives on your phone and you approve it there. Decline, and the seat is released.

Lady HOOPMay 2026

Lady HOOP: you ask, the team confirms

Lady HOOP began in Nairobi and is now a switch on every request, in every county we price. Flip it on and the HOOP team looks for a woman driver on your route, then confirms the match on your call before you step out.
